Sam has spent the past 9 years in London becoming a well-known face of the tech startup scene. Working with a variety of organisations within London and now further afield in the US, UK and Poland building some of the largest tech communities in the world. Her main aim is to create environments for individuals to feel welcome and for communities to flourish. She’s currently leading the community team at Snyk.io helping developers adopt security into their development workflows.
Alan Price, Head of People and part of the founding team of Dott. He started his career in agency recruiting (7 years), before switching to in-house (8 years) at technology companies such as WorldPay (payments), Google. In 2014 he made the switch to the “on-demand marketplaces” category, joining as an early-employee at Uber (mobility, food, billions raised), Wolt (food, 200m raised), ofo (micro-mobility, 1.5 billion raised). With most of his experience growing teams, at ofo this was the exact opposite, how to withdraw quickly from 9 counties amid financial chaos. What’s next? Having initially hired previously Henri Moissinac (Uber, ofo) & Maxim Romain (ofo), we decided to form Dott and gather the most experienced team from “on-demand marketplaces”, to build the European market leader of shared scooters & bikes. Since founding Dott in October 2018, we’ve raised €50 million, hired 200+ staff, across 8 different countries, leading all people related activities.
With over 20 years recruitment experience in the UK, Europe and USA. Contingent and executive search covering tech, data, product and design. Extensive team leading experience in building, training, coaching and succession planning. Riana is currently working at Hyperoptic as the Talent Acquisition Manager, an ultrafast and rock solid broadband provider in the UK, providing speeds of 1Gbps (UK average is 54.2Mbps). Managing a team of 6 TAs in London and Serbia in a company that is 1200+ and rapidly growing.
