Products such as our mobile phones, smartwatches, or digital calendars have been created with a smart structured plan or system to work efficiently. Many of today’s technologies aim to proactively support human day-to-day tasks, make smart suggestions, recommendations, and even have conversations with us.
With the power of predictive technologies, the advances of these recommendations are getting more enhanced day by day, perhaps enough to even predict our future habits? Current technologies are shifting, and the next generation of products are also changing. Design practices continuously evolve to meet these transformations. Therefore, the term designing with a “Capital D’ refers to design beyond interfaces. Designers also look at how consumer behaviours are adapting; we expect a lot more from a product, we want products to understand us and help us in specific ways.
System Design is an emerging practice, an approach that combines design thinking and systems thinking to uncover and map out how systems should be modelled and designed. The significant benefits of this approach are:
– To create more sustainable solutions that we mostly do not see as end-users but profoundly affects businesses.
– To be able to support end-users in a more advanced way, by using data and emerging technologies to create better solutions.
Talks will uncover the system design mindset, smart products, and smart systems in detail. You can expect a market-leading industry and academia expert panel discussion with live Q&A, followed by virtual networking.

She pioneered system design in large design firms and has been creating and training the new breed of designers, system designers.
Antonio leads the Service Design practice at Digital Entity and is a board member of the Product System Service Design course and is also Professor of Inclusive Design at Politecnico di Milano”. Antonio has been actively designing relationships between people and systems/services/products.
Olga works with complex ecosystems, orchestrating every aspect; business, data, service, product experience. She leads data-driven design innovation for NTT.
‘Ducre’ is a web platform that enables brands to source consumer data directly from individual consumers, cutting out the middlemen. Its proprietary AI & ML algorithms categorises and packages consumer data in formats that can be readily consumed by brands’ analytical systems. Thus enabling more targeted marketing campaigns, better customer engagement, and accelerated product innovation.
