Computer Vision in Production 2.0

We’re thrilled to welcome everyone to the first SOD.AI Social Virtual event, the theme of our running events will be on the topic of Computer Vision in production.

We will be speaking our expert panel from the Computer Vision industry, where we will discuss how they are using Computer Vision in production, the technologies they have had success with, and the challenges they are facing. We will apply this to various computer vision software; which will include, OpenCV, Image Detection Technologies, Video Detection Technologies, 3D, Medical Imaging, Autonomous Driving, NVIDIA products, and other hardware, Embedded Software.

Anthony Kelly
Anthony is a Principal Recruitment Consultant with Trust in SODA who specialises in helping companies in the DACH Region grow and scale their Computer Vision teams. Anthony has 6 years of recruitment experience and has helped many AI and Computer Vision companies make their first professional hire right through to helping them build full teams. Anthony is a Computer Vision Podcast Host, Meetup Host, and a Co-Founder of the Berlin AI Community Awards.

Juta Staes
Juta holds a Master’s degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Ghent. She is a Machine Learning Engineer at ML6 since 2017. ML6 is a consulting company that specializes in machine learning. Juta has worked for clients across various industries (distribution, public services, health, production etc).

Laura Mielke
I am Head of Machine Learning and Computer Vision at ID LEAGUE GmbH. Our product, KICK ID player rating, offers a digital and objective performance evaluation for soccer players. I studied Computer Science at the Technical University Berlin, with a focus on Machine Learning. Before coming to ID LEAGUE I worked on different topics in Deep Learning and Computer Vision, such as GANs for autonomous driving, passport security, measurement engineering and signal processing for ultrasound data at Fraunhofer IPK, the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung and other companies.

Stefan Milz
Stefan Milz received his Ph.D. degree in Physics from the Technical University of Munich. He has a strong history in professional software development and automotive. He joined Brainlab GmbH as Software Engineer in 2010 for medical image processing and radiation simulation. In 2014, he moved to Continental GmbH as Senior Software Developer for highly automated ADAS functions. In 2016, he joined Valeo as Team Lead in Driving Assistance Research, focusing on Machine Learning functions in Automated Driving. By now, he is Managing Director of Spleenlab.ai, a self-founded machine learning company focusing on safety-critical computer vision applications (UAV, Automated Driving, Air-Taxis) deploying SLAM, sensor-fusion, perception functions into the real world. Besides, he is also a research fellow at the TU-Ilmenau.

Adam Bahlke
Adam id the CTO and co-founder of Motor Ai. Motor Ai has invented a system that enables a cognitive intelligence to independently scale itself and make safe decisions. The team applies this technology to mobility to eventually bring the very first certified level 5 autonomous car to Europe’s streets. He previously worked for companies like FinLeap, solarisBank, PAIR Finance and BetterLesson. He studied Entrepreneurship at the Peter B Gustavson School of Business in Victoria, Canada.
